About us

We are Gerke (37), Lisa (33) & Evi (1), living on a little piece of paradise in South-West Portugal, Alentejo. Six years ago Gerke decided it was time to go all-in on his dream life. A place where people & nature would life in harmony. He bought a piece of agricultural land moved into a tent with his two cats & dog and started reforestation to regenerate the soil & planted many many many fruit trees for our food forest. And realize this.. in the beginning there was no water on the land. Yes, read that again, no water, no electricity. So Gerke was out in summer filling jerrycans of water in the nearby town, to water all the plants on his land. Some call him crazy... I (Lisa;)) call it passion. So that is where it all began. 

Fast forward 6 years, & now we are living here as a familiy of 3 soon to be 4!! We often realize that our take on the world, living, health, relationships is quite integrated & for some eye-opening and out of the ordinary. Gerke & I clicked on these visions the first time we met. It was instant and we got together quickly followed by getting engaged, moving in with each other (back then in a 7 floor apartment in Amsterdam, can you imagine?!) & getting pregnant. Soon after Evi was born, we moved with our family to our piece of paradise. The canvas for our vision. For creating with and in nature. For allowing us to learn new ways of living in harmony with ourselves and eachtother.
